4D Pool Singapore - How to Play and Win!

4D also known as 4 Digits is a form of lottery in Singapore. It is considered as one of the national favorite pastime.

How to Play 4D Pool Singapore

To play 4D, all one has to do is to select any number from 0000 to 9999 and choose which draw dates to participate in. A 4D draw is held thrice weekly, on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and sales of 4D commence a week before.

Do note that only people of age 18 and above can participate in the lottery. If one prefers, he/she can bet for three consecutive draws.

How to pick your number?

There are four different kinds of bets, like System Entry, iBet, 4D Roll and QuickPick.

Betting by the System Entry method means you will be betting on all the permutations of the number. If you bet a dollar, your final bet amount is not a dollar, but multiplied by the number of permutations.

iBet is a System Entry bet, but your total bet amount will not be multiplied by the number of permutations. Instead, if you choose to bet a dollar, your bet amount remains as one.

4D Roll means a bet in which you can substitute one of the digits in your selected number with “R” that denotes 0 to 9. For example, if you have a number 413 and choose to roll the last digit, you will derive ten combinations. Your final bet amount is multiplied by the number of combinations you have.

Lastly, QuickPick allows the computers to choose a number for you. You won’t have to rack your brains or source for a “inspiration”!

After having a number in mind, you can go to any lottery outlets in Singapore and fill in the bet slip. Minimum bet amount per number is one dollar. There is an option for you to purchase the big bet or the small bet.

How to Win 4D Pool Singapore

In order to win, the number you have chosen must match at least one of the 23 sets of winning numbers. Winning numbers are separated into the following five categories, first prize, second prize, third prize, Starter prizes (10 sets of number) and Consolation prizes (10 sets of numbers).

If you choose a big bet, you win if your number appears in any of the five categories. On the other hand if you choose a small bet, you only win if your number matches that of the first, second or third prize. However, the prize amount is increased for the small bet.

After purchasing the bet, a ticket will be issued to you for every bet slip. Occasionally, the bet amount accepted is lesser than the amount you requested as there is a sales limit for the 4D number for that particular draw. At times, a popular number may be sold out at all outlets.

The Singapore pool outlet offers other lotteries too, for example Toto, Singapore Sweep etc. Toto is a lottery where you choose six sets of numbers from 1 to 45. One wins if the arrangement of number matches that of the winning number. For Singapore Sweep, one purchases a ticket with a given numbers. Each ticket is worth 3 dollars.
