The Singapore transport system makes getting around Singapore easy and enjoyable.
All you need is to have an ez-link card, which is a contactless tap-and-go smart card, and you can tap your way around Singapore on both MRTs and buses. You can purchase an ez-link card with prepaid value at TransitLink Ticket Offices and Passenger Service Centres at MRT stations.

The Singapore Tourist Pass is an all-day travel pass that will offer you unlimited travel around Singapore. There are 3 types of Tourist Passes:

Singapore’s bus services lets you travel to all corners of the island with its comprehensive network. Most buses operate from 6am to 11.30pm daily. There are 2 main bus services, the SBS and the SMRT. The SBS service even provides a mobile site for you to check the timings of bus arrivals. Feel free to visit their websites at:

Singapore’s rail transit system, the MRT, is a quick and comfortable way of getting around Singapore. Opened in 1987, the MRT has become the backbone of the Singapore transport system.
There are 3 main lines that it operates on – the North-South, East-West, and North-East lines. A new line, called the Circle line, will operate in 2010. The MRT operates from 6am to 12midnight daily.

Taking a taxi is an inexpensive way to travel around Singapore. Definitely faster and more personalized, you may hail a taxi along the road, or board it at a taxi stand. Advanced booking is also available at a low fee.

Please note that within the Central Business District (CBD) from 7am to 10pm, taxis are not allowed to pick up or drop off passengers along main roads. Passengers are advised to board or alight at designated taxi stands or at building drop-off points.
