Sentosa Island, Singapore's premier island getaway, is a must visit destination for tourists and locals. Sentosa, which means "peace and tranquility" in Malay, was chosen to be an island resort in 1968. It hosts unique family attractions and has a variety of experiences for all ages.
Before exploring the island, you may want to download a pdf copy of the Map of Sentosa Island for your reference. Of course, you can also pick up a copy when you visit the Island.

The Rasa Sentosa Resort in Sentosa is highly recommended as it's located near to Siloso Beach, where all the fun and action is. Be sure to request for the sea-view rooms, if available. Feeling the breeze there gives you a great sense of relaxation and will remove all your stress.
Nearby to the resort is the Underwater World, Asia's largest tropical oceanarium. Home to more than 2500 marine animals, it is amazing to watch them swim around in the gigantic oceanarium as you travel on its travelator.
The Sentosa Luge and Skyride is another key attraction in Sentosa Island.

Opened in 2005, the Sentosa Luge is a self-driving car system in which riders control the speed by pushing a pair of handlebars back and forth. The luge ride goes downhill, relying on gravitational pull to move and runs 650 meters.
"Did I mention how easy it is to get to and around Sentosa?". To get to Sentosa, you can take the Sentosa Express that operates from VivoCity
